Built in 1902, the Hotel Blanche quickly became Lake City’s premier destination—known for its luxury, modern amenities, and lively social scene. Designed by famed architect Frank Pierce Milburn, who also designed the Lake City Courthouse, the Blanche was Florida’s first building to feature an elevator.
